This first post is of an under stair cubby cabinet. This is a classic pocket hole joinery project in that it has one surface hidden from view. The challenge really ends up being how to assemble it. Notice that there would not be enough room for the drill and driver to attach the end partition to the shelf that sits on top of it since the shelf below it gets in the way. So the answer was building it upside down. Of course I found this out the hard way after trying to assemble it in a normal fashion only to find that the drill driver and bit were to long.
To match the angle of the stairs I pocket screwed 3/4 plywood triangles to the tops.
The basic outline of the cabinet is now completed. The toe kick is in front. The back will be attached with brad nails.
Now all that’s left is to finish the stairs lol!
